MySaleMail

The concept for MySaleMail was conceived by the retail product team at Scripps and a basic proof of concept site built on a Drupal backend was quickly launched.

The business’ goal was to compile a list of participating local retailers and their upcoming sale and event information, and then allow users to create an account and subscribe to email notices at selected stores. A marketing campaign was due to be launched and recognizing a number of missing features and design flaws in the initial site, I took some of my “spare” time to design a new interface and information architecture.

The redesign was received enthusiastically and in order to get the new design live in time for the media campaign the design was handed over to a third-part Drupal developer and quickly adapted to the backend.

The redesign solved a number of problems that became apparent when the first site underwent usability, unfortunately the business never quite got off the ground and the project was shut down about eight months later.
